I'm taking a short break from the world of finance to introduce our company softball team:
After two weeks of rainouts, the Brighton Securities softball team took the field for the first time ever Wednesday at Norton Village Park. The weather was less than cooperative, but none the less the team was ready and able to play.
It was a slow start for Brighton Securities, scoring only 5 runs in 5 innings while Johnny's Pub put up 10 runs. But as the rain picked up in the top of the 6th inning, so did the BSC bats. 5 runs were scored in the inning drawing the two teams to a 10-10 tie. Unfortunately, darkness prevented the game from going any further. End result: BSC 10 - Johnny's Pub - 10. Since there is no such thing as a tie in baseball or softball (unlike soccer) the game will be completed on July 28th.
The Brighton Securities Softball team plays every Wednesday at Norton Village. Games start at 7:30 and last between an hour and an hour and a half. Come on down and support the team!
