No, it's not an oxymoron. We all know people who follow the rules and stand by their word. And of course we know of those who do not. Executives who wreck their companies and ignore their shareholders while cashing jumbo bonus checks. Politicians whose only belief seems to be in their own lies. Nonpartisan groups who specialize in partisanship.
But regulators? The protectors of the public? Technocrats who seek truth, justice, and the American way? Could it be that senior members of our nation's highest profile securities regulator have feet of clay? I was chagrined to read this article, but sadly - not surprised. Unlike Diogenes, I don't waste my time searching.
