The time is now upon us for those two words that come around each time this year: spring cleaning. If you're like me, and brimming with excitement for this enviable task, you are no doubt looking forward to dusting, vacuuming, and figuring out what to do with the pounds of paper that have accumulated over the winter months. I'm talking about credit card bills, bank records, your pet's vaccination history - you get the idea. I'm happy to share that we have an answer: Our 4th annual FREE SHRED DAY! The details:

Date: Friday, May 10th Time: 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Place:
Brighton Securities
212 E Main Street
Batavia, NY 14020

Date: Friday, May 17th Time: 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Place: Brighton Securities
1703 Monroe Ave
Rochester, NY 14618

Some things to consider:

  • Your Brighton Securities statements and tax documents from the previous six years are all digitally archived, meaning you don't need to keep on hand - we'll do that for you!
  • We will be available during the day to help answer any questions of what you should keep, and for how long it should be kept.
  • Once you drop your documents off, we will shred them right then and there. You can watch if you'd like, the shred truck will be right in our parking lot (It actually is fun to watch)!
  • We aren't just here to help get rid of documents - this would be a great time to stop and say hello to your advisor - and book a time to review your portfolio.
  • Shredding your documents is eco-friendly. Not only will your sensitive files be appropriately destroyed, they'll be recycled as well!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
